The Benchmade 5000 has a 154-CM satin finish blade. The black anodized, machined 6061 T-6 aluminum handle features milled ribs that add gripability to the already contoured handle. The AXIS lock system makes the knife easier (and faster) to open and close. The 5000 series is automatic- pull the AXIS lock down and the blade opens automatically. 420J stainless steel liners and a reversible steel carry-clip which can be reversed for right or left handers. Over all this is an excellent knife with a good fell and weight- something you could trust your life with.
